• Check air filter.

• Visually inspect ductwork's condition.

• Check and inspect all wires and contacts.

• Check for proper voltage and amps.

• Check all electrical components.

• Check and test capacitors.

• Read temperature differencial across evaporation coil.

• Check main and auxiliary drain lines.

• Chek refrigerant level.

• Run system to assure proper operations.

• Visually inspect heat exchangers (or electric elements).

• Check and test hot surface igniter.

• Clean flame sensor or thermocouple.

• Check for proper air temperature rise.

• Check overall conditions of system.

  • There are things you can do to help your system work better and save money, not just on your energy bill, but on costly unnecessary repairs.

  • Create a habit of checking & replacing your air filter

  • Visually inspect indoor and outdoor section of your system and check for signs of water, burnt smell or marks, duct tape or air sealant that could be falling of

  • Hose off condensing unit at least three times during summer to clean coil's finns

  • Keep heavy foliage away from the unit (unit needs to suck air from sides and discharge it from the top)

  • If you have a dog do not let him put his leg on the unit or it won't be long before you need a new unit.
